Backups are essential in any business that use records or database. The business that my father have right now which I’ve already mentioned in my last entry need records of daily, weekly and monthly report of sales and other expenses. It’s a great thing that there’s spreadsheets (I’m talking about ms excel or openoffice.org’s office calc). With spreadsheets, I don’t have to manually input all the necessary details. I’ve created formulas so I don’t need to manually compute the amount sales and other expenses of the business.
Aside from having backups in my own PC, this files need to be stored in a more secured place. So what I did was to search on the Internet and I was lucky I found Backup Platinum so I can save my files virtually. Of course Internet connection is necessary for you to save your backups in Backup Platinum. They provide their own software so you can manage your files more easily.
I must admit I am getting paranoid specially big money is involve and might be at risk when things go wrong and I don’t have any backup of my important files…. guess it’s not really bad being a paranoid after all…
