The MILF or Moro Islamic Liberation Front acts are troops that act like a military or army division or that protects the homeland of the Muslims in Mindanao, southern part of the Republic of the Philippines, which also happens to be the second largest division of the of the Philippine islands . The movement was founded in 1977 with the lead of Hashim Salamat in their struggle for Muslim Independence. They exist to protect and preserve the Muslim rights, religion, practices and culture that they’ve been fighting for since time immemorial.
