I have listed below some of the well known misconceptions about INSOMNIA. (It sound oxymoronic to me!) Firstly. “People need 8 hours.” This is an erroneous generalization. The truth of the matter is Different people need different amounts of sleep.

Second misconception about sleeping and insomnia is that it is a disease. Blatant wrong. The truth is that it is a manifestation of an underlying condition. In short, it is a symptom and not a disease itself. It could be sleep disorders, acute stress, jet lag, heart disease etc.

Thirdly, the belief that insomnia is incurable is a misconception. The truth is that, insomnia can be treated. People who have insomnia are oftentimes sleep deprived. Insomniac people should try their best to look for insomnia cure. Sleep deprivation can be fatal sometimes.
