My mom used to woke up in the middle of the night complaining about her osteoarthritis. Last night she woke up again and had almost cried complaining about her aching joints and muscles. I immediately prepared her hot packs to provide temporary relief. She already consulted a doctor just a few months ago. The doctor prescribed her a medicine (actually it’s just a supplement that would help reduce inflammation, swelling and stiffness as well as protect the joints and provide long lasting pain for rheumatism and osteoarthritis relief). The doctor also advised her to do a life style change that may offer pain relief for osteoarthritis as well as rheumatoid arthritis. For those who are also suffering from this kind of condition, the doctor recommends a regular exercise which can help alleviate the pain. My mom also advised to avoid activities that can add stress to the affected joints. And because the temperature now is getting colder specially at night, the doctor also advised her a heat therapy by using hot packs or heating pads and this will provide a temporary relief for her aching joints and muscles.
To those of you who are suffering from this kind of disease, it is always best to consult your doctor before it gets worst. And always remember that our health is our wealth.
