Cool plugins : Dofollow and CommentLuv

Today I’ve just downloaded a Dofollow and CommentLuv plugins.

Here are some of its great features.

For Dofollow plugin:

- This plugin will turn-off the nofollow rel attributes in comments. Since this blog is not hosted by Wordpress.com anymore, I’ve noticed a great fluctuation in my site stats. And to be able to recover I just thought that by installing this plugin, and placing a badge of do follow movement, maybe some visitors will be encouraged to leave a comment in my posts…. hmmm…

For CommentLuv plugin:

- I’ve noticed that BPJ is using this plugin after I’ve made a comment in this entry (OT: please read his post and help Thea’s mother by donating a blood) and I think this is one of the coolest plugin I’ve ever found. This plugin will show a link to the last post from the commenter’s blog in their comment.

    thanks for the plugin plug!
let me know if you experience any issues with it, I’m always looking for ways to update it and the more people that use it then the more information I can get back about who gets their last post shown and what other plugins and themes it is compatible with

I use both of these plugins on my site already. They are a great way to build a community around your blog! It takes time for commenters to contribute to your site, they may as well be rewarded for it!

This is a great idea. I wish my blogspot could have it. All blogs should have this plugin.
Another great one is so commentors can edit their comments for a few minutes after pressing the submit button – good for fixing spelling errors.

I installed “No Follow Free” it is the same thing but has a cooler banner thing in the to right of my site. The “commentluv’ plugin rocks! I installed them and over night my comments doubled! Gotta give credit to Andy Bailey for a great one! Also, I love this theme too!

I think it’s a great way to encourage more comments on your blog, any blogs I’ve seen Commentluv on have increased comments by around 400% which is fantastic!

Although it makes me wonder that you need to offer people something in return these days to get them to comment on your blog.

I’ve only recently run into this plugin, but I think it’s a great idea, particularly when used with the Lucia’sLinkLove plugin to control the dofollow / nofollow status of a comment

I just installed Comment Luv, admittedly our site is very young, so we are trying to start out with the best intentions. There haven’t been comments since August on this article. I’m interested in whether NOT installing do follow has any impact. Just have comment luv alone seems to give visitors a great incentive. Do we please the bots or the readers? Any ideas, now that you’ve had both plugins running for a while? Cheers.
